How it started
One Craigslist ad became a lifelong lighting business.
In 2000, founder and veteran Neil Fancher placed a Craigslist ad offering to help homeowners install Christmas lights they already owned. He repeated the service in 2001—and recognized the foundation of something much larger.
Denver Christmas Light Installers launched in 2002 and grew alongside the family’s sign and print business. That year-round background made holiday lighting a natural fit: professional design, fabrication, installation equipment and experienced crews were already part of the operation.
Neil started Wyoming Christmas Light Installers in 2016, and it remains under the company’s umbrella today. After selling the Denver operation in 2022, the family moved to Texas in 2024 and launched 817 Christmas Lights.
